Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a copy of writings by Jacob Bohme which explore such topics as the essence of God, the way to salvation, and the election of grace; throughout, the manuscript focuses on the idea of mystical unity. Discussing "The Mystery of the great Babilon," for example, the author writes, "The compacted sensual tongue which is divided in the Spirits of the Letters, doth confound us, & makes us to Err; so that we do suppose we are strange one to another & yet we are all but one onely Tree."
